We Are Usually Asked About

On average, how long will it take between placing the advert and it appearing in the newspaper?

In general, it will take 2/3 days but there will be a maximum of 5 working days between payment of the notice and its listing in the newspaper.

What are the benefits of using Voluntary Strike Off as opposed to the client or agent placing the notice directly with the newspaper?

We are a specialist strike off company and as a result we can save you time, money and provide expertise.

  • Expense –  It is less expensive to go through us when placing your notice than going directly to the newspapers.
  • Expertise – As we place a large volume of adverts each year, we have the expertise to ensure that the notice complies with Company law and that the language is precise and accurate.
  • Time – It is quicker to place the advert through us than it is to place the advert with the newspaper.

Will the advert be for a single company or will it also include other companies?

In general, the notice will be amalgamated with other companies and there is a maximum of six allowed under company law rules. In some instances, the notice will just be included as a stand-alone company.

How do you know whether your company will qualify for the strike off process?

Firstly, check with your Accountants and they should be able to supply you with all the relevant information regarding whether your company meets the necessary criteria.

If your Accountants are not available, we can supply you with all the pertinent information so that you can make an informed decision.

Why is it important to have a company struck off in the proper manner?

It is vital to strike the company off in the correct manner as otherwise, if returns are late the CRO will strike off companies for failure to file annual returns. If this happens, an application may be made by the Director of Corporate Enforcement for an order, disqualifying the company directors from acting as a director in the management of a company. The length of the disqualification period is a matter for the court.

Are all companies suitable for the strike off process?

No, not all companies are suitable for strike off. If the assets or liabilities exceed €150 then the company will not qualify for strike off.

If a company needs to be dissolved and there are large liabilities, then a creditors liquidation may be the only option. In this case, professional advice would need to be taken.

How do I pay?

We use Worldpay, one of the most secure and recognised payment processors. This allows us to accept all major credit and debit cards.

Payment must be received before any Strikeoff Advertisement will be processed.
