What is a Strike-off Advertisement?

One of the requirements of striking a company off the register is that the directors of the strike-off company have to place an advert in a daily national newspaper.

This advert can cost from €140 plus vat if you advertise directly with the newspaper, but our charge is only €80 plus vat if you place your advert through us, so we can save you both time and money.

The steps to insert your advert are as follows;

  1. Client completes application form online.
  2. Once the questionnaire is completed and submitted, we can then assess if the company qualifies for the strike off process.
  3. If all appears in order and the necessary steps have been taken to have the company struck- off (including the letter of clearance from the Revenue), we will then issue an invoice to the customer, within one working day of receiving the questionnaire.
  4. On receipt of payment, we will include the advert in our next list of legal notices.
    • This notice will be published in a daily newspaper and the maximum time between payment and the publication of the advert will be five working days.
  5. We will email our customer before the date of the publication so they can purchase the newspaper if they wish. We will however, forward to each customer a copy of the newspaper and they should receive it the day following the publication of the advert.
